To access the Alternative Lender portal, you first need to sign in to Lender Spotlight or create an account if you don't already have one.

How to log in or create a Lender Spotlight account

  1. Click below to be taken to the log in/sign up page

2. Sign in using one of the social media options available. If you don't already have an account, choose one of the methods to sign in and follow the instructions to create an account

NOTE: This is the method you will use to sign in to Lender Spotlight from now on, so remember which one you used.

Once you have signed in to Lender Spotlight you will be taken to the homepage where you can see the cards for the lender products available.

How to get started

Step one of getting your Alternative Lender listed on Lender Spotlight is filling out your lender profile. Below we'll walk you through what should go in each of the areas on the profile. In order to open your account we will be entering some of these for you, but we ask that you check your profile to make sure we have everything correct add any missing details

How to set up your lender profile

1. Click the image on the left menu to access the "Admin portal"

2. Select 'Admin Portal" and then choose "Alternative Lending"

Tip: If you don't see "Admin Portal" as an option contact support@lenderspotlight.ca to complete your set up.

3. Then choose "Alternative Lending" and click on the "Name" of the profile you want to review and update.

5. Click on "Edit Lender"

4. Go through and verify all the information entered in the various fields.

Definitions and requirements

Name: The first area is your lender name. Brokers can search you by name so you'll want to use the proper business name here.

Lender Type: Select if you are an Alt B or MIC/Private lender in the dropdown menu. These are the two current types we have listed and supporting on Lender Spotlight. As we this area continues to evolve we will add more lender types and options.

Email: The email you should add here would be common mailbox you may use for new inquiries. This could be something like hello@ or something similar. There will be areas where you will add other business development contacts later.

Website: The website you'll add here is one brokers would look at for more information about you as a lender.

Mailing Address: The next areas are for your main mailing address for you as a lender.

Phone and Fax Numbers: The next two areas are for your main phone number and fax number (if you still use that) for brokers to contact you. As mentioned above there is another area where you add more contacts like Business Development Managers and Underwriters as you desire.

Description: The description area should be a summary so that brokers can get a quick understanding of your business.

Logo: The final section is your logo. Please note the maximum file size for you to upload is 250 kb.
